New 3 wood
Back in high school, one of my teammates had a Callaway Steelhead 3 wood and used to crush it off the tee. When I saw it selling for 25 bucks about 5 years ago, I jumped on it. I’ve been hitting it very well lately, and it’s a fine substitute for a driver on tight or short holes.
Since I’ve been using the club often and hitting it so well, it only makes sense to replace it with a new 3 wood. I ordered a Callaway X Series 3 wood, which will match my excellent X Series 5 wood. The question is should I take it too the course without first hitting it on the range? Probably not, which gives me an excuse to practice for the first time in a few weeks.
